July 4th Activities in Ashland New Hampshire
It is almost hard to believe, with the cold weather still hanging in there as late as last week, that once again the July 4th celebrations are upon us. As usual and, as expected, this year promises to be the fun packed event the Ashland New Hampshire area always delivers. Activities commence on July 3rd with the opening of the midway and concession stands at 5:30pm at the ball park. At 6:00pm Alex Ray and his Common Man Restaurant will be serving their yummy chicken and rib barbeque down by the concession stands. Doc's personal favorite, this part of the festivities is not to be missed. At 7:00pm a variety show consisting of M/C Jim Gleich and the Larry Walker Band will start at the ball park. Unfortunately, Art Harriman will not be in attendance this year as he will be performing at a wedding. At dusk a 50/50 drawing will occur. After the raffle prize goes to some lucky soul, the fireworks will finally begin, much to the relief of weary parents with over sugared children. If you need parking for the fireworks show come early and you can acquire yourself great parking right next to the ball park at Busky's Auto for a relatively small fee.
