5 Ways to Maximize Your Calorie Burning Potential

1 - Increase your metabolism
By increasing your metabolism your body burns more calories all the time, even while you are sitting around.
Some easy ways to increase your metabolism: Use hot sauce, drink coffee or green tea, eat many small meals throughout the day (as opposed to 3 gigantic meals), add weight training into your regime and the added muscle will also increase your metabolism.

2 - Get twice the exercise for the price of one
Exercise right after you wake up, or right after a weightlifting session and you burn double the ordinary amount of calories for that given activity. This happens because your body has already drained its reserves either
a) while you were sleeping, and in a catabolic state
or
b) while your were weightlifting.
When your body needs calories to burn when its reserves are all gone it goes right for your calorie storage centers (aka your fat) and that's great news.

3 - Hoof it'
Next time you have to run an errand and it's not too far, walk.
By adding 5 minutes of walking here, and 5 minutes there you can end up walking for more then half an hour a day. That's exercise that your body craves and loves that you hardly even notice. Remember you don't have to be pouring sweat for exercise to be beneficial.

4 - Throw some body-weight exercises into your daily routine
Do some body-weight exercises before bed or during commercials while watching t.v.
Doing exercises like Sit-Ups, Push-Ups and Pilates can be very beneficial when done regularly, and it's very easy to do them regularly considering you can do a great workout of these exercises in less than 5 minutes. Next time you watch t.v. turn that hour of being a couch potato into 20 minutes of body-weight exercises (yes, that's the average amount of commercials in an hour- 20 minutes)
