My biggest secret is one that no one knows, other than the people that were involved. I have been asked questions about it, and advised to write it down and turn it into the proper authorities, but I didn't feel comfortable about doing any of that. I have lived with this for about 4 years now, and would like to finally be free of it if possible. So, here it goes....I am about to reveal my biggest secret.

I got with my children's father back in January of 2004. We met in a bar one night when I had dart league. He was at the bar next door, and kept going back and forth between the two. We met shortly after my league had finished playing. He invited me to the bar next door, and of course I said yes. So, we went over there and hung out for the evening. When it was time for the place to close we said our goodbyes and agreed to meet the following night.

As planned, we met at the bar again. This time we sat and talked more than throwing darts and shooting pool. We discussed what we both have been through, what we wanted out of life and a relationship, and where we see ourselves in the next 2 years. From there, we discussed our education status, employment, family, and living arrangements. After a couple of hours of this, he asked if I wanted to be roommates with him and his buddy. I accepted, being that I was looking for a place to stay, and needed one within two weeks.

The following week I began moving my stuff in. I started fixing up the room that I would be staying in, and making sure that I had all of my stuff. I then began getting rid of anything that I may not have needed. At that point, we all sat down and began discussing the living arrangements. It was agreed that since I currently wasn't working, that as long as I agreed to keep the house clean, with the exception of their rooms and prepare dinner, that I'd be able to live their and not have to pay rent. They would continue to split the rent by 2. So, I agreed to this, and made sure that I stuck to the plan.

I am glad you got out of that situation.Hopefully you will never have to deal with someone abusive again. You have to be the one to protect your children and leaving was the best thing you could do.
