How to Hide Money Around the House
Having cash available in the house is vital. Never know when emergency or opportunity will require having cash readily available. Distributing stash cash around the house has the advantage of it all not being found and if only a portion is needed, one needs only to go to one spot. There are products on the market that mimic household products with false bottoms, but these could be a waste of money. There are plenty of good hiding spaces, and if distributed throughout the house most of the stash cash should be preserved.
Recommended is laminating your stash cash. Now, do not laminate a bill without some form of barrier as the laminate will stick to the outer bills. Cut some opaque paper like a grocery sack a 1/8 to 1/4 inch larger than the entire perimeter of a bill. Place some bills between two pieces of opaque paper making sure the opaque paper extends beyond any edge of the bills. Place this stack in between laminate and seal it. There are two types of laminating process, heat and instant. Recommend is heat, but understand a laminator (adds pressure and heat) will have a small thickness allowed through it. Trim around the paper inside to about ¼ inch around. Once done, this provides a nice weather proof and sturdy form of holding stash cash.
