A lot of music connoisseurs, and non music connoisseurs, believe that everyone should have a soundtrack of their lives. Zach Braff, the star of the television show "Scrubs" and director of such movies as "Garden State" and "The Last Kiss," created the soundtrack of his life when he did the soundtrack to Garden State. In fact, he received critical acclaim for the album. But before you go and burn a mixed CD of what you think may possibly be the soundtrack of your life, think. If you're in your teens to your 30s, you probably have a lot in front of you. If you are in your teens, chances are that you haven't been exposed to the good stuff. You've probably been exposed to only rap and songs that blond pop stars sing. So to help everyone out with choosing which songs should be in your personal soundtrack, here is a list of songs that I believe everyone should hear and add to the soundtrack of your lives:

-Walking with a Ghost by Tegan and Sara (album: So Jealous)

No matter which way you go. No matter which way you stay. You're out of my mind...

This song can be interpreted in many ways, but I think that it may be a break up song. In the video, Sara Quin, the lead singer of the rock duo, has her heart ripped out. That's pretty self explanatory if this is a break-up song. The lyric "you're out of my mind" could also mean that she's not thinking about the person who ripped her heart out anymore. This is a great break up song, at least to me. This is one of those songs where you go out and have fun to prove that you've moved on instead of sitting at home and moping. However, the term "walking with a ghost" could mean that the ghost of your ex or the ghost of your relationship could still be walking around with you.

-Vultures by John Mayer (album: Continuum)

How did they find me here? What do they want from me? All of these vultures hiding right outside my door...
