I have insomnia, it runs in my family. The sleep disorder I always thought was strange is narcolepsy though. My best friend in 5th through 8th grade (we moved often) was the youngest child of an older couple, her mom had narcolepsy. My friend's mom would be talking to us then sleeping. My friend learned how to drive a car to the edge of the road incase she fell asleep while driving.

This is a great article. I suffer from this from time to time. I have stayed awake for over 28 hours before because I couldn't sleep there are times I still do it.
