This article is not setting out to ridicule religion itself or the truly good people who worship. Also, it fits any religion but most examples are Christians, just because those are the ones I've run into. These are all real examples.

The question that is set out to discuss here is as the title states, "why are most religious people the people with the worst morals?" This isn't to say that all devout religious people are bad but hypocrites do run rampant among all religions. These are just a few of hundreds of examples I could describe.

Famous Holy Frauds

To start off with well-known examples, let's discuss Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Baker.

Jimmy Swaggert is a Pentecostal (Christian) preacher and pioneer of televangelism. His Jimmy Swaggart Ministries states that one of its goals is to see souls saved among the other usual goals of a Christian religious sect. In 1988, he was seen with a prostitute and issued an on-air apology for his actions asking for forgiveness. In 1991, police found him with another prostitute.

In 2004, Swaggart threatened to kill homosexuals during a sermon. This is a man of God?

James Bakker is a televangelist (Christian), a former Assemblies of God minister, and a former host of The PTL Club, a popular evangelical Christian television program. He also had a sex scandal which led to his resignation from the ministry. In 1989, he went to prison for fraud, tax evasion, and racketeering. Another man of God.

I pray that people will know God for themselves. I have seen an example where poor loney women think these men are God. They give sll they have to these preachers even though the women are poor and lonely. The preachers usually have a charm that give these womem false hope of a relationship or marraige. There is a woman at a church in Dallas Texas that thinks Rev, DS Mundell is going to marry her/The only thing Rev Mondell does not know about it. Or if he does he is leading her on so that she will continue to pay vows SAd SAD

to whistle listener, lets go back and read whistle blowers statements again he told us the facts 1 by one,he told us to check them out and we would find the truth,if the police was after rev mundell there should be some kind of report, how do we check out the facts?why would he tell us to check them out and then you say he cant prove these allegations, lets say if these allegations are false, you see the if is whats wrong, seeds of doubt. lets say if what they said about jesus is true should we quit following him to.we have gotten to know mundell personaly and we are sure these are lies.why dont you come to s.florida and meet him for yourself.

What is there to repent when there is no sin committed? You seem to think as if my question is an attack to Mundell. It isn't cause these accusations against him cannot be proven. Let's put Mundell aside, since his accusations are wild and it's intent is to destroy his character. So lets go on beyond the scope of our own lives, and while I'm at, as for stating that people aren't perfect lets no longer talk about that amazing revelation. Anybody that has gone to Sunday school will know the sins of the past prophets and of their own backyard. My question is what sins or mistakes according to you constitutes the children of God not to follow a leader that God has chosen? Now if your mindset is I will follow a person no matter what they do cause they are annointed then don't answer this question. If your answer is the common line who are we to judge then don't answer this question.

whistle listener! i dont think rev.mundell is a good man,i know he is! we are not following a man but the god in the man.rev. mundell truely displays the fruit of gods spirit. we know there is no perfect man or woman, but the answer to your question is easy.you shoud read the life of king david, was he perfect? but the whole kingdom of isreal followed him. why dont you repent and spend more time spreading good news and leading people to christ.thats what rev.mundell is doing!

I know you think he is a good man. I do not doubt your sincerity, but let's say that these accusations are true against any preacher. Any preacher in the world. Are we to follow and support such a preacher?

Posted on 05/05/2008 at 10:05:47 PM

to whistle listener,i am convinced these accusations are nothing but lies.i have attened all of rev.mundells services here in hallandale,fl. since june of 2007,almost a year now. the man some are describing is not the man i love with all my heart.you should attend his services and see for yourself, sit down and talk with him personally.i am sure you will see these are nothing but attempts to destroy his ministry.

Now I can see that whistle blower is angry. These accusations are heavy against Mundell, and I think they are hard to prove. Lets say for a moment what the whistle blower is telling is the truth. Then what? Will you people still support Mundell? Is it godly to support a man of God that is behaving in such manner?

whistleblower, we will not sit back and be called suckers for believing a real man of God. We will stand up and fight for the truth. I have been a member of Rev. Mundell's church for the last 6 mos. He is not a false prophet when he has prophesied, it has come to past. although he rarely prophesies he preaches. Have you heard him preach? I find it to be the unadulterated word of God. if you are telling the truth why don't you tell us your real name so we can do a background check on you. You sound like someone filled with hatred and need to find your way to God. God loves, he does not condemn, or revile. He encourages all to come to him, I'd recommend you seek him now, time is short. I want you to know, we will stand for our man of God. Go and find your place with God.

discernment and then visit Pastor Mundell's church for yourself. You will feel God's presence and you will see for yourself that Pastor Mundell has been misrepresented. His messages are full of encouragement, grace and mercy, and he has an unusual gift of faith that infects every person present. I can't stand back silently and watch men of God be falsely accused. Let the church rise up and be the church...If you don't stand for something...you'll fall for anything. If you have been blessed by this ministry or if God leads you to post some words of encouragement...please do it ! Just remember this. The opposite of love is not hate. It is indifference. Evil prevails when good men and women do nothing. Let us all pray for Pastor Mundell and for all leaders who are under attack. The devil does not fight us because of where we are presently...he fights us because of our future destiny. Pastor Mundell, the worst is over, and the best is yet to come. We Love You!!!!!!!!!

I just want to confirm that Pastor Mundell is a man of God with a heart for the people. He has brought hope to those who had given up. I have seen people come into his meetings downtrodden and discouraged and leave with a song in their hearts and a smile on their lips. Only the power of God can transform lives in this manner. Pastor Mundell is only a vessel, but I believe that he stands for righteousness. His attackers are either viciously evil in their intentions or grossly misinformed and ignorant. Whatever the case, God's people need to rise to the occasion and defend their leaders. Those who are building the kingdom of God don't have time to stop for gossip....They are watchmen on the wall who cannot come down. Those who attempt to thwart the purposes of God will be brought down. I personally would not want to be in the hands of an angry God. I would rather have His favor. Don't play with the Holy Spirit and the people of God. I challenge anyone reading this thread to ask God for
