So you have completed your law school education and now you are ready to take your final steps towards becoming an Arizona lawyer. It is now time to face the daunting task of taking the Arizona Bar Exam. The Arizona Bar Exam is a difficult Bar Exams to pass, as can be seen by its pass rate of between 58% to 67%.  So if you want to pass this Bar you will need to prepare for it. There are many things that you will need to know before you sit for the Arizona Bar Exam including: application procedures, testing format, and what will be covered on the exam. This article will provide you with this information and hopefully arm you with the knowledge needed to prepare for the great challenge of sitting for the Arizona Bar Exam.

In order to qualify to sit for the Arizona Bar Exam you will (1) need to have graduated from an ABA approved law school with a Juris Doctorate, (2) submit appropriate forms and documents including a fingerprint card, (3) pass a background check, and (4) pass the MPRE with a minimum score of 85.

Arizona doesn’t have a reciprocity agreement with any other state at the moment, so if you want to practice law in Arizona you will need to sit for their Bar exam.

You don't have to pass the MPRE before taking the bar exam, only before being admitted to practice. You also don't have to pass the background check before sitting for the exam.

The information in the article is inaccurate. The exam is given in February and July, not January.
