Textbooks can be a major purchase. Unfortunately, textbooks are only used for one semester and then you're stuck with them. But, that doesn't have to happen. This year, why not sell your textbooks for cash?

Sell Your Used Textbooks for Cash #1: College Bookstore

Many college bookstores will buy textbooks that will be used the next semester. This is a great option, because you're already on campus and can easily stop by and sell your textbooks for cash on your way to class. While not all bookstores are the same, you will usually be able to sell your textbooks back for half of what you paid. If the bookstore already has enough books, they will give you a wholesale price, which usually isn't much and should be avoided.

Sell Your Used Textbooks for Cash #2: Other Students

If the bookstore already has the amount of books they need for the next semester, why not try to sell your textbooks to fellow students? You'll be able to sell your textbooks for a lot less than what the bookstore is charging, making this an easy sell. Other students will be more than interested in books that they can buy for half of what the bookstore is charging. Place ads on campus bulletin boards and you'll have cash before you know it.

Sell Your Used Textbooks for Cash #3: Book Byte

If a textbook is no longer being used at your campus, don't give up hope. You can still sell your textbooks online. A great website to sell your textbooks to is Bookbyte. All you need to do is enter the ISBN number from your book and the condition. You will then be given an offer for each book. Once you have accepted the offers, you will be able to print out a label that allows you to ship your textbooks for free. Be aware that it will take a few weeks for you to receive your cash.

Great advice. At the end of each term I always post flyers on the bulletin boards for books that I will be selling at the end of the term. buying new Books in the book store at my college is freakishly outrageous!!

LOL. This is great advice for recent grads but my only hope would be an antique store.
