TIP # 1 - GIVE YOURSELF THE BEST CHANCE FOR SUCCESS
If at all possible, avoid trying to accomplish a large grocery shopping event with a hungry or tired child. Plan your grocery shopping at a time when small children are fresh and not in need of sleep. Taking a tired child to the grocery store can prove to be very problematic. Older children who no longer take naps will likely be able to handle a trip to the grocery store without becoming too grumpy, but it's really unfair to expect the same of a baby or toddler.
Be sure your children are not dealing with growling tummies and hunger headaches when you enter the grocery store. Bring along crackers and juice for babies and toddlers to keep hunger at bay if your shopping will take more than twenty minutes. You may save everybody a lot of stress by doing so.
TIP # 2 - KEEP CHILDREN FROM CLIMBING OUT
