Hello article surfers, welcome to my first article on saving money for your home paper products. I live in a small town over 100 miles from Atlanta, GA. Over all of the years I have shopped, spent, and saved money I compare price, and even clip n save coupons. I especially do that now that I have a baby in the house.

One thing I have noticed in our town is the costs on paper goods for your home. These are napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, and facial tissues/kleenex.

Wal-Mart usually always has the lowest price, whereas the small grocery stores seem to be highest. If you dont care about name brands, and just any old store brand, you may be able to shop at a Fred's Dollar Store, Dollar General Store, or a Family Dollar and get a low price, but a smaller package, or single roll of paper towels.

I myself usually by 3 roll packs of paper towels (Viva is my favorite!), at least 4-6 square boxes of kleenex (Puffs plus), and 1-2 rectangle shaped boxes, and at least 1 or 2 12 to 20 double roll "blocks" of toilet tissue (Cottonelle or Angel Soft). I stock both of our bathrooms, and several rooms worth of kleenex.

I always look at the shelf tags of the price, and price per, etc. They usually have the math done for you. Buying the biggest of an item sometimes is not the best way to go, so be sure and compare prices of the same item, in different sizes.

If you are not sure about the price, write it down, and compare them at your own choice of stores, but, I usually find that Wal-Mart is the cheapest in my area for these items. I also look in the ad circulars for the grocery/variety stores. Sometimes they have a sale on the items I need when I am going to need them soon.

Shopping and comparing prices is one thing I love to do, since I love to save money while grocery/houseld item shopping.

Since next to meat, household goods shopping is the most expensive part of the grocery budget, I love to save money on it!

Try clipping some coupons for the brand of paper goods you like, or swapping some coupons for the items you like with someone else. Maybe they like a different brand than you do. You can also find some coupons online to print out, if maybe you don't get a Sunday paper.
