How To Read Tea LeavesTasseography or Tasseomancy
Tea leaf reading is a form of divination that has been in use for centuries by people in many places. Reading tea leaves involves interpreting images or symbols that you see in the tea leaves in a tea cup. You can read tea leaves for yourself or others. This tea leaf reading method can also be used with other drinks that leave a residue in the cup or glass. The leaves' position in the cup or glass also reveals information about the symbols you see.
To start your tea leaf reading session, brew a cup of loose tea. While the tea is brewing, relax and think about what you want to discover in the tea leaves. Think about any questions you want answered or problems you would like to be solved. Try to formulate the concern in your mind to focus on while you drink your cup of tea.
When the tea is ready, think about the problem or question you want help with while you drink. Focus your attention on the question or problem. Drink the tea until a small amount remains in the cup. Swirl this three times in a clockwise direction then turn the cup over in the saucer. Then pick up the cup to look at the tea leaves. You will see patterns, images and symbols. You will use your intuition to interpret what you see in the tea leaves.
You will be reading the tea leaves from the top to the bottom of the cup in a clockwise direction. You start from the handle or, if there's no handle from the top or 12 o'clock position. You will also be interpreting in three sections of the cup: the rim, the middle and the base. These sections represent the present, the near future and the answer or conclusion.
