Upromise and Sallie Mae just teamed up to help those of us with student loan debt pay it off quicker. Thousands of companies will help us pay off our Sallie Mae student loans when we shop online, at our favorite stores, or at the grocery or drug store. We can save when we travel, dine out, and more.

This program is completely free and best of all, our family and friends can sign up to help us out on our way to (debt) freedom!

How the Upromise Loan Link works:

1. Customers must have one or more eligible federal or private education loans through Sallie Mae.

2. Customers must join Upromise and register grocery, gas, and credit or debit cards. (Upromise tracks purchases at participating merchants and automatically stores savings in a Upromise account.)

3. A Upromise account must be linked to a Sallie Mae student loan account through the Upromise Loan Link.

Here are some examples of loan rewards:

Get a quote at insurance.com = $4
Spend $50 at Target = $2.50
Earn 1 cent per gallon of gas purchased at Exxon
Earn 3% on money spent at McDonalds
Even earn 1% on all purchases at eBay!

Remember, for online purchases to count you must get to the vendors site thru Upromise. Therefore, to get to eBay, you go to www.upromise.com, click the Online Shopping tab at the top, then on the right, click on All Stores. Find eBay and click to go to the eBay website. Now all of your eBay purchases will count towards Upromise Loan Links!
