Vault Red Blitz: A Berry Bursting Energy Drink

Not long ago I wrote an article that asked why two liter bottles of Mountain Dew Code Red seem to be disappearing off store shelves. Apparently, this isn't the case in other parts of the country, but it definitely is the case where I live. The fact is that I
can no longer find any grocery store that carries two liter bottles of Code Red. This is very odd considering that the drink proved to be quite successful for Pepsi. In fact, I still see more people drinking the 20 oz Code Red than regular Mountain Dew. There is a new red citrus drink on the market now and though it has proven very difficult to track down, it is worth it.

Vault Red Blitz is one big pain in the butt to find, but it is definitely worth the effort. I haven't been a big fan of regular Vault, considering it to be inferior to Mountain Dew MDX. Vault doesn't taste quite as good as MDX. As far as the energy boost that Vault and MDX are supposed to provide, well, I think I'm immune to them. I consume so much caffeine that I honest believe I've become resistant to its affects. Therefore, at this point the only reason I reach for an energy drink is if I like the taste. That pretty much brings us back to Vault Red Blitz.

Like its regular citrus brother, Vault Red Blitz contains all the herbal supplements that are supposed to pump up your metabolism and provide an energy boost. Like I said, it doesn't work for me on that level. But where Vault Red Blitz definitely shines is in its taste. I refer to it as cherry Vault, but in fact the drink isn't being sold as a Code Red competitor per se. The flavor really isn't so much cherry as it is berry. In fact, it's kind of hard to pin down exactly what kind of red flavor we're talking about. Maybe it should be called Vault Berry Blast. The flavor probably depends on the person; some will consider it more of a strawberry taste while others might lean toward raspberry. It definitely has the kick of a raspberry. Whether you come away with the distinct taste of cherry, strawberry or raspberry, one thing is certain: Vault Red Blitz doesn't really taste quite like any other product on the market. (In fact, some fans have likened it to drinking Luden's cherry cough drops.)
