Suicide City is a self proclaimed rock/metal/post-hardcore/alternative/punk band. Its members include Karl Bernholtz on vocals, Billy Graziadei with guitar and vocals, Jen Arrayro on vocals and base, A.J. Marchetta playing guitars and Dan Lambugna slamming the drums. Suicide City released "Not my Year" in 2005 and played their first show in April and haven't stopped touring yet. They have teamed up with some well known bands such as Otep, Mindless Self Indulgence and Taking Back Sunday to get their name out and it has worked. "Not my Year" has sold more than 5,000 copies, leaving fans waiting for more. I got the chance to ask Billy Graziadei (guitar, vocals) a couple of questions.

What inspires you to play music?
My family is very influential. My grandfather, mother and uncle inspire me the most.

What year did your band form? How did you find your members?
Suicide City formed in the winter of 2005. I found Karl (singer) in South Florida with his band the Groovnicks. Jen I knew from touring with Biohazard and Kittie. We always talked about jamming. I met Danny through the Sworn Enemy guys and A.J. came into the picture as a mail order bride.

What do you think are the best parts about being in a band? The hardest?
I love making friends and being able to tour the world, seeing new things. I would have to say the hardest part is having to leave your family.

Are you signed with a label?
We are currently a DIY band and will remain a DIY band until we find a good label to partner up with. We don't want to sign with someone whose not worthy of out time.

Do you have a day job? If so, what?
I produce bands at a website called Underground Studios.

What was your first song and what inspired it?
Our first song was "Only the Strong Survive" and the inspiration was mostly growing up in Brooklyn, New York.

How does your band write your songs?
We copy really popular polka bands and change the music and lyrics so it sounds nothing like them.
