How to Pick a Topic? When we write for magazines or books we can write on a topic of our choice, but on the web you should first concentrate on the interests of the internet users because most of the people reach your articles on the web through search engines by typing the words related to the topic they are interested to read on. So always choose a topic to write on that internet users would be interested on and also make sure that you are also interested in that topic. How to choose a Heading?
There are different methods to write headings. For example a heading can be a question like "how to treat pimples?", or a quote like "Friend in need is friend indeed", etc. But you should always concentrate on writing catchy and good headings because great headlines draw more visitors online. For example,
1. If you are writing an essay on your brother Vicky, instead of writing the heading "essay on Vicky", you should write "essay on my brother Vicky" or "essay on my brother."
2. If you are writing an article on Angelina Jolie, you can put the heading just "Angelina Jolie," but it would be better if you write "Sexy Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie."
3. If you attended your cousin's marriage in India and are writing on it, you should write the heading, "Marriage in India" or "Cousin's marriage in India" instead of just "Cousin's marriage".

How to start writing?
First of all collect as much information as you can on the topic you have chosen to write on. Then, go through the matter (information) and write down the important points. Now mix the important points you have gathered with what you have in mind already and start writing on it without leaving a single important point.
