A Great Snack for Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day this year Eco-Planet Organics has a new line of organic crackers and cookies. Eco-Planet Organics is a division of Heaven Scent Natural Foods and their products are baked in their own organic certified bakery. Eco-Planet Organic donates a portion of their proceeds to non-profit organizations, one of which is One Percent For The Planet.

An alliance of businesses committed to leveraging their resources to help create a healthier and better planet is what One Percent For The Planet consist of. Members of the organization recognize their responsibility to and dependence on a healthy environment and happily donate at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental organizations worldwide. Co-founder, Tom Mosk, of Heaven Scent Natural Foods had this to say about the new line that Eco-Planet Organics has released.

"Now in five great-tasting varieties, our organic cookies and crackers come in great eco-shapes and were created to teach children how to take better care of our planet,"

Appropriately the cookies and crackers are shaped like a sun, to represent solar power, a windmill, to represent wind power, an earth and an electric car. Eco-Planet Organic's new line is made with USDA organic ingredients, are vegan, low fat, dairy free, kosher, low in sodium and have no trans fats, hydrogenated oils or saturated fats and contain no GMO's.

Eco-Planet Organics can be found in local Whole Foods Markets and in fine natural foods groceries and specialty food stores across the country. With every box that they sell they will donate a portion of their net profit to support groups that educate everyone on how to take care of the fragile eco-system.
