Hurricane season is over. The holidays are over. It is too cold up north. That means one thing…It is definitely time to visit beautiful central Florida. If you can get your vacation set for this time of year rather than the summer then it is worth it to take it now. Kids are in school this time of year so you will need to take that into consideration. You can either wait until they have a few days off, or get their work and take it with you. That’s no fun, I know, but if you plan ahead, they can get the work done before you leave. (This would be only if they had grades good enough to allow such an excursion.) Perhaps you would like to take a trip just for the folks and someone can keep your children while you are gone; a second honeymoon maybe. A first honeymoon perhaps and you have no children- well; this is the perfect time to go.

The good part about the off season in Florida is that there are fewer people to contend with, the weather is more accommodating (not nearly so warm), the prices are lower in order to entice your business, and the hurricane season is over. There won’t be any hasty evacuations to ruin you vacation. Even if it does rain, there is plenty to do indoors.

You can go online and book your own vacation or go through one of the many reputable travel companies online and off. If in doubt about your accommodations you can check them out at Hotels.com or Tripadvisor.com. Previous visitors rate the different hotels and restaurants, and attractions. The prices are pretty good too. Walt Disney World is currently advertising a vacation package for a family of four for around $1500.00 at the Disney complex.

Speaking of Walt Disney World, they have quite few options in the Orlando area. The Atlanta Braves have their spring training at the Disney Wild World of Sports® complex in late February, and they have more than a dozen games during the month of March. The complex also has interactive sports, dining, a giant screen television, and sports memorabilia.
