My husband and I are working to sell our home. Our goal has been to improve the look of our home so we can sell the home quickly. One of the areas of our home that we have improved on is the master bathroom. Through our experience we have learned some wonderful things you can do to improve the look
of your bathroom.

Get rid of clutter. It seemed that we had a lot of stuff in our bathroom that just didn't belong. We took everything out of our bathroom and made three piles. One pile was trash, the second pile was for the bathroom and the third pile was for items that needed to be stored elsewhere.

Give your bathroom a paint job. If you think your bathroom needs it slab on some paint. Painting the bathroom made it look like brand new. We were very amazed in the difference it made. You can buy some inexpensive paint at your home improvement store such as Home Depot.

Install new tile floors. My husband just did this and it cost about $100 dollars for our small master bathroom. I thought the money was well worth the brand new look it gave to our bathroom. There are so many different colors and styles to choose from at your local home improvement store.

Remodel your cabinets. There are not too many cabinets in the bathroom so remodeling was easy. You have several different choices for remodeling the cabinets. You can buy totally new cabinets, which is the most expensive way to go. You can resurface the cabinets, which is basically preserving the body of the cabinet's just place a new outer face. Then you have my favorite paint the cabinets, which is the cheapest approach. We painted our cabinets in one day. Just like the paint job on our walls it did a wonderful job on the appearance of our cabinets. They looked totally new.

Purchase some bath accessories. For example, we bought a bath rug, toilet lid cover, shower curtain toothbrush holder, soap container, and lotion pump. We spent close to $100 dollars for bath accessories. A good place to shop for bath accessories is Kmart and Target. You can buy bath accessories for real cheap.

We put a frame around our mirror using these strips we bought at Lowe's. They look like wood and are very easy to put on. It really changed the look of the whole bathroom not just the mirror.

Good Suggestions, but Target and even kmart are too expensive for most accessories... Don't overlook the value of your local thrift shop or Flea Market, They have that stuff in loads for a fraction of the price.

Paint is one of the least expensive home improvements, and it can make a huge difference. My husband and I are currently trying to sell our home too, and I've been doing lots of painting. I've written several articles on improving your home to help it sell. Take a look if you get time. Maybe something I've written will help you too. Thanks for your tips. I'll take your advice and try something different with the cabinets. Great article!

Very succinct and informative. The color choice picked for a bathroom is also very important when selling a home and can either add a positive or negative impact. I think it is best to stick with neutral or pale tones. Nice work.

Great article! We recently repainted our bathroom and added a few shelves. I bought some cute knick knacks and pretty picture frames to place on there. I was amazed at the difference! Good luck on selling your home.
