I was looking forward to "Night of the Living Dorks" It looked like a fun time. But Dorks ended up being one of those films that was mildly entertaining but could have gone further.

"Dorks" does some things right. As a horror/comedy it succeeds in the laughs department. I was laughing my ass off several times during the film. And it's even funnier in its foreign (German) language. The leads were also extremely likable and realistic. Except for the dope smoking those group of fr
iends reminded me of myself and my friends. I also loved the 80's comedy feel of the film, I grooved to it! This could have been the perfect horror/comedy, it could have. It lacks the horror element. Where's the freaking gore!? This movie should have been a bloodbath but all we get is some body parts and minor bites. The movie really needed the red stuff. Also what's with the lack of female nudity, too!? Considering the 80's feel of the film the lack of nudity is shameful. The movie is developed well story wise and its 3 main characters are well developed but other elements are underdeveloped and rushed. The revenge and love angle scenarios needed to be fleshed out more, I want more of it. But it's all rushed to get back to the fucking main story. Don't worry about the main story right now, have some fun. I wanted to see the dorks getting more revenge on their bullies, but no the main story got in the way. Also the love story angle with one of the dorks and the snobby rich bitch was rushed. It should have been fleshed out more like in the film Teen Wolf. The main story was too much in focus for me. The finale wasn't all that either but truthfully it's not all bad and is better then the alternate ending (which is preferred by a lot of reviewers, why? It's executed poorly). Dorks is funny as hell and has 3 likable leads but never reaches greatness.

Tino Mewes, Manuel Cortez, Thomas Schmieder (Phillip, Wurst, Konrad) made the movie for me. They were extremely likable and realistic. Great Job. Collien Fernandes (Rebecca) was hot and likable as the goth chick. Nadine Germann (Uschi) was smoking hot. Enough said.
