The Best Computer and Accessory Deals Come from on Line Merchants

These days, nearly everyone needs a computer. So much is happening on line that life can be made much easier with a computer and Internet access. You can buy movie tickets onl
ine, sell your junk, email friends, and do a plethora of other things. In case you're just getting started in the computing age, there are only a small handful of places that have the best computer deals, and most of them are not local.

The most prominent example, is Dell. They carry computers, ie PCs, for all different needs. Their cheapest brands, the Dell Dimensions, usually cost around $400 with free shipping & handling. This can get a computer capable of just about anything you might need if your new to the computer world. If you've used a computer only on a rare occasion, these will easily be more than you need. Don't bother spending extra money on any of the extras that you "might" need in a few years; they'll be both obsolete and less expensive by the time you ever need them.

If you need something more powerful, Dell has that too. The XPS, Extreme Performance System, models have most of what any computer user will ever need. The newer games, the faster programs, and the Windows Vista operating system all work well on these systems, and, agreeing with common sense, the more you pay the faster your computer will usually run when you buy a Dell computer.

Odds are, unfortunately, you don't have a Dell outlet nearby, and the only way you can get a Dell computer is through the Internet. If you don't have a computer already, this can be a challenge. Your best bet is to use the computers at your local library (if they don't have computers, chances are a nearby town's library does). Also, you're going to need a credit card or debit card (debit cards work if they have a VISA/Mastercard logo).

Good info and I built my computer from parts I bought at TigerDirect a few years ago. However, I've been helping a friend search for parts to build his own computer and we've found that NewEgg (www.newegg.com) is significantly cheaper on almost everything. And the fact that they have more advanced users who frequently comment on products gives a much greater product knowledge availability than TigerDirect currently has. You wrote a good article, though.
