DIY - Make a Memo Board from Your Favorite WWF T-shirt
Display your favorite WWF wrestler's picture or emblem with this easy do-it-yourself memo board. Recycle an old WWF t-shirt for this project. Here's how...
Start by choosing a t-shirt with a WWF design or wrestler's emblem or picture that you like. Old t-shirts work great for this project because they frequently get damaged in a small way (a torn sleeve or
a stain near the hem, for instance) that doesn't harm the main design. If you don't have any t-shirts like this, you can find WWF fabric at fabric stores or discount stores, or even online.
Cut away the sleeves and back of your t-shirt, preserving as much material as you can around the design. How big of a continuous piece you can cut will decide how big your finished memo board will be.
Measure your shirt-piece, and then cut a section of cork board one and a half inches shorter. (If your shirt piece was 21 inches by 24 inches, then your cork board would be 19.5 inches by 22.5 inches. You can find cork board in the craft section of discount stores (Walmart, Target, etc.) or at craft stores (Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc.).
For the next step you'll need some felt and some craft glue. You can find felt and craft glue at any of those same stores listed above. Felt often comes in sheets about the size of a piece of writing paper. For this project, it's okay to get several of those, and just lay them next to each other.
Now cut a piece of felt the same size as your cork board. Spread craft glue over the cork board evenly, and smooth the felt over it. Let of dry , at least enough not to slide) and then spread more craft glue over the felt. Lay the WWF t-shirt piece over it very carefully and smooth it so that there are no bubbles. The t-shirt will overlap your memo board by three-quarters of an inch on all sides.
Give your WWF memo board a chance to dry, and then turn it over (face down). Carefully fold over the extra material, and glue it to the back neatly. Give that a chance to dry, and your WWF Memo Board is all finished!
Hang it up and add push pins to match your WWF design.
