In the last few years many companies have started offering high yield online money market accounts and in the process given us the customers more options to choose from. I personally recommend HSBC's account. There's no
minimum deposit and you don't have to maintain a minimum account balance to earn interest either. I haven't had a single problem with them in the year or so I've been using them. I also would like to recommend ING direct's checking account. You can't beat 3% for a checking account! The combination of these two will certainly add some extra change to pocket book.
