Will College Be Worth the Tuition? Will It Help You to Get a Job?
College tuitions are always on the rise and very few families can actually afford to send their children to Ivy League schools. Many students that try to get into colleges of their choice may be able
to make it into the school, but they may also have a difficult time paying the tuition. Does a college education really pay itself off in the end?
The truth of the matter is that a college education is only good if you are going to do something with it. If you are majoring in something that is going to make good money, then invest in the degree. If you feel as though you just want to go to explore education and just learn something, then it's best not to go to college because you can learn something from just reading a book. A good college education doesn't automatically guarantee that you will have a job. You have to understand why you are going to college and if the reason isn't for you to get a better paying job, then you shouldn't go to school. You can learn something by just reading a book and you don't have to have a college professor in front of you teaching you about the subject.
If you don't have any particular goal with attending college, then you may want to hold off on going until you do. College tuition is getting extremely pricey and most college graduates have years of student loan money to pay off after they graduate. The truth of the matter is that you don't need a college degree to get a job these days. It's more important to be friends with a President or Vice President of a major company because they will most likely be able to get you in. There are many jobs today that are being held by people that simply do not qualify. Many jobs are not held by graduates of Ivy League schools. You have to feel determined to succeed in life if you are every going to get ahead. You have to be good at what you do. Your experience and work performance will be weighed much heavier than your grades that you got in school. Once you start a job, you have to realize that you're not going to be able to keep it unless you can show your employer that you have the skills that they are looking for.
