Photoshop Graphics - Black and White Yin Yang Graphic

In this Photoshop Tutorial I will show you how to create the black and white Yin Yang graphic in my image. Please see the image that I have provided to see the ending results. This is a glass looking yin yang graphic. This graphic is very easy to create. I will write this tutorial in detail so that the new Photoshop users can follow along too.

How to Create a Black and White Yin Yang Graphic in Photoshop

Open Photoshop and let it load. Then create a new canvas. Click File > New to create a new canvas. Create it 100 pixels by 100 pixels. Set your background color to white and click OK on the box.

Next you will need to create a new layer. Press F7 on your keyboard if you do not see your Layers Panel. In the bottom of your Layers Panel you will see little icons. Click on the icon that looks like a sheet of paper with the corner curled up. That will create a new layer.

Now you will need to select your Custom Shape Tool. Click on your Shape Tool in your toolbar and hold it down until the menu drops down, then select the Custom Shape Tool. Drop the Shape Box down at the top of your Photoshop window. Click the arrow on the right and then click Symbols from the drop down menu. Double click the Yin Yang shape. Then draw your shape on the canvas.

Left click one time on your Shape Layer in your Layers Panel to highlight it. Right click on your Shape Layer and select Rasterize Layer. Rasterizing the layer will make the edge of the shape smooth.

Left click one time again on that same Layer to highlight it again. Now right click on it and select Blending Options. Your Blending Options Window will open and you will need to apply the effects and values that I have listed below.
