Ever wonder where everyone gets those really cool and unusual items that sell on eBay? Well, most of the Power Sellers that list and sell on eBay actually either have a store business where they sell the store's inventory on the online auction marketplace known as eBay, or they buy there products in bulk from dealers for a discounted rate (like OverStock.com) to resell for a profit. If you are just starting out your home based business on eBay, you are probably wondering what you can sell. While it is important to have some money set aside whenever you start any business, this is not needed for those wanting to start off on eBay. I did it, and I'll tell you how.

After you set up your eBay account, Paypal account, and you have a digital camera, then you are now ready to start collecting items to start selling on eBay. You can go through your house and find things that are either collectibles, old DVD's or VHS tapes that you have seen over a thousand times and are sick of now, to clothing that doesn't fit anymore. Just imagine that you are going to have a garage sale. What would you get rid of? Do you have anything worth value that you want to sell like jewelry or even a car that is running or not? When I started out on eBay, I found some things around my house that I thought were just taking up space in my closet or things that I thought were just making unwanted clutter in my home. I took pictures of everything, put the listing and description on eBay, and I made around $350.00 that first week.
