Packing the Game Room: Put Everything in Their Containers
Many toys and games and other children's items come in their own individual containers, such as Lego sets and Barbie houses. If this is the case, make sure that all of the pieces to each set has been accounted for and has been stored in their own individual containers. This will make packing much easier and will ensure that you don't lose pieces in the move.
Packing the Game Room: Take Sets Apart
Things like train sets and race car tracks should be dismantled before you start to pack anything. Make sure, again, that you have all the pieces, and put them away in whatever they are normally stored in. You should also make sure that they can't move around while in their containers; if this isn't the case, pack them with packing peanuts or bubble wrap to ensure their safety.
Packing the Game Room: Pack with Containers Inside Boxes
You probably won't want to pack a Lego set or a train set without putting them in a moving box for added protection, so pack everything in boxes using common sense. Try to choose items that can be wedged together in the boxes to make sure they don't move, and don't forget to label each box with GAME ROOM or KIDS TOYS.
Packing the Game Room: Cover Large Items
Many children have large indoor toys, such as slides, kitchens, basketball hoops and others. If this is the case, you probably won't be able to put those items inside moving boxes. To protect them, cover each item with a drop cloth or a towel and secure with packing tape. If there are sharp edges or breakable pieces, make sure they are covered with double the normal packing material.
