People who are interested in exploring ancient history should really appreciate the new exhibits at The Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois. The venerable Field Museum has recently opened exciting exhibits that the whole family can enjoy while learning.

The exhibit Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries, explores the prehistoric era of dinosaurs and ancient fossils utilizing new scientific research to Analise the fossils. Dinosaurs opened at the end of March, 2007 and is scheduled to run through September 3, 2007 as a temporary exhibit.

The Ancient Americas is a permanent exhibit that also opened in March. The Ancient Americas explores the ancient societies that populated the American continent and how the ancient societies affects society today.

Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries.
This exciting exhibit, will run until September 3, 2007.
The Dinosaur Exhibition features the latest discoveries, with dramatic breakthroughs in paleontology. The exhibit includes newly discovered fossils.
The 7,000 square food exhibition features a diorama of a 130 million year old Mesozoic forest in China. Visitors can encounter over 35 species of dinosaurs, fish, reptiles and mammals the exhibition gives visitors the thrill of discovering things about creatures that lived millions of years ago..The highlights of this exciting exhibition include:

How Dinosaurs Moved: studies the way dinosaurs moved including neck and tail movement on computer screen. A six food long mechanic T Rex skeleton walks in place to illustrate how experts believed the creatures walked.

How Dinosaurs Behaved: Scientists have reinterpreted old fossil evidence to unlock secrets of dinosaur behavior.

The Liaoning Forest: 700 square foo diorama of a 130 million year old forest which existed in Liaoning Province, China.

Extinction: Visitors can examine the evidence that explores the events signaling the end of the Age of Dinosaurs. Evidence includes asteroid impact, global climate change and volcanic eruptions.,

I never really liked the Field Museum because its very hands-off, especially for kids. I always preferred The Museum of Science and Industry.
