Butte, Montana is a notorious Wild West town that was built on one of the richest copper strikes in this country's history. Today it has a modest population of just under 34,000 people. Butte is the hometown of daredevil Evel Knievel, as well as the current home of the Montana Tech campus, the Our Lady of the Rockies Statue, the Berkeley Pit, the Dumar Brothel, and the copper King Mansion. The climate of this city is mild. In May you can expect temperature to still dip down into the thirties, with highs in the 60s. In June the temperatures range between the 30s and the 70s. July and August are the hottest months of the year with temperatures ranging between the 40s and the 80s.
