Product Review: Prilosec OTC
If you suffer from frequent heartburn, you should try Prilosec OTC. One pill a day for fourteen days can relieve your heartburn for months. Prilosec OTC is unique from other non-prescription heartburn medications because it targets acid production by directly shutting down many of your active acid pumps. While you are treating with Prilosec OTC, the medication works for up to twenty-four hours with a single pill a day. That translates into around-the-clock relief, which no other over-the-counter heartburn medication can provide. Here is a product review of Prilosec OTC.
Approximately two years ago, I began to suffer from frequent heartburn attacks. I am certain that my diet of spicy foods and foods high in acid, such as tomato sauce, didn't help. I tried Pepto Bismol, Tums, and various other over-the-counter heartburn medications to no avail. Finally, I decided to try the purple pill so widely advertised on television.
I took the pill once daily for fourteen days. Early on in the treatment, the Prilosec began to work. I stopped suffering heartburn. I was sure the heartburn would return immediately after I stopped taking the Prilosec medication, but to my pleasant surprise, it did not. In fact, I did not suffer a single episode of heartburn for the following four months.
Once the heartburn finally did return, I purchased another box of Prilosec and again did the fourteen-day treatment. Sure enough, the Prilosec began to work again on the second or third day, and I did not suffer a single episode of heartburn throughout the treatment and well beyond.
After another six months, the heartburn returned. I once again treated with Prilosec for fourteen days, and the symptoms of heartburn again disappeared. This time, seemingly for good. I have not taken, nor have I needed Prilosec OTC in almost an entire year.
