Approximately two years ago, I began to suffer from frequent heartburn attacks. I am certain that my diet of spicy foods and foods high in acid, such as tomato sauce, didn't help. I took the pill once daily for fourteen days. Early on in the treatment, the Prilosec began to work. I stopped suffering heartburn. I was sure the heartburn would return immediately after I stopped taking the Prilosec medication, but to my pleasant surprise, it did not. In fact, I did not suffer a single episode of heartburn for the following four months.

Once the heartburn finally did return, I purchased another box of Prilosec and again did the fourteen-day treatment. Sure enough, the Prilosec began to work again on the second or third day, and I did not suffer a single episode of heartburn throughout the treatment and well beyond.

After another six months, the heartburn returned. I once again treated with Prilosec for fourteen days, and the symptoms of heartburn again disappeared. This time, seemingly for good. I have not taken, nor have I needed Prilosec OTC in almost an entire year.
