Writing as a Passion

I love to write. It takes away from the hustle and bustle of my daily life. If you love to write like I do, keep at it and you will succeed. When I write, I feel like I am taken to my happy place. I have two kids, so when I can get away from them and get on the computer to write, it feels like I am on vacation because it takes all my stress away.

If you love to write as much as I do, you need to keep up with it. Keep writing. Even if you feel it isn't your best work and you are not any good at it, keep going. Your skills will improve. You need to be dedicated to it just like if you were back in high school in sports. Practice makes perfect. There are a lot of online sites that you can blog on, chat on, or even get paid for your writing.

Spend more time at the library. Research topics that enjoy you and write about them. Or even better, find something you know nothing about, find out information on it, and then proceed to write about it. It will give you a challenge. Have others read your finished work and ask for comments on your piece. Do not frown about bad critics. They are just trying to help you improve. Take the criticism and grow from it.

Try different online sites where you can blog and publish your work for money. Yes there is a lot of places online you can write. Run a few searches to find the sites that are best for you and your writings. Some of them will pay for your work, some will not. I would not be too concerned about the money at first, use it as a learning tool. You can also find a lot on the internet on tips to improve your writing skills.

Never give up on your dream. I am currently striving to make a full time income off of my writing. It does take a lot of time, a lot of dedication, and a love to write. But with determination you will succeed. If you are looking to make it a career, I suggest finding other writers to network with and maybe they will be able to give you some tips and suggestions so that you will succeed. Either way, never give up, be persistent, and you will achieve your happiness.
