Karen Jubinville, in my opinion, is one of the best massage therapists in all of New Hampshire. Her practice is based out of Bedford, NH. I had the pleasure of meeting Karen last night. She gave me a tour of her
facility and explained everything about the massage I was going to receive.
The massage room was beautifully decorated. There was soft, soothing music playing in the background, the lights were dimly lit and there was just a sense of peaceful energy in the room. Karen performed a Swedish massage on me which uses various techniques that are applied to the body to relax the muscles. She was kind with her hands, and I felt great afterwards.
Karen specializes in a variety of massage and spa treatments. Swedish, Hot Stone, Neuromuscular, Grigorian Organic Spa Reflexology®, Reiki, Prenatal massage, and Sea Shell treatments.
I asked if there are any health benefits of massage therapy and there are many. I listed just a few.
Increased range of motion Enhanced blood flow
Strengthens the immune system Aids in sleep
Reduces stress and anxiety Relieves muscle aches and pains
Improves posture Satisfies the need for caring touch.
Karen graduated from North Eastern Institute of Whole Health in Manchester, NH. She is nationally certified by the NCBTMB and is licensed in the state of NH. The State of NH requires 750 hours of massage education. This includes 150 hours of human anatomy and physiology, human pathology, kinesiology and many diversified massage classes.
I asked Karen what makes a good massage therapist and she stated: Communication with the client is on the top of my list. I always start my sessions by asking my client "what can I work on today for you"? Then I listen to what my client has to say, then I make a connection with the body and I hear what the body has to say. My intention is to address the client's needs.
