How to Host a Successful Sports Trivia Night

You would like to raise money for a good cause. There are many Trivia Nights in the America. They deal with everything from Religion to Sex. Most Trivia Nights try to cover a vast set of topics. This is to appeal to people of all walks of life. However, some deal with specific areas and they don't deviate from them. This is one of those ideas.

First, you need to find a place where your Trivia Night can be held. Try to locate a place that doesn't charge. If they do charge, try to negotiate with them. Tell them your reason for the Trivia Night. If they control a concession area, they have a chance to make some money off your program. If they let you use their facility, have a crew that will clean up afterward. If they know they don't have to clean up, this will work to your advantage.

Next, you have to set a date and a time. Set this to what works best for all concerned. Remember that some people have chores to do when they first get home from work. Make sure you set a time when the event will end. This for people that have other responsibilities afterward.

Advertise your event. Print up flyer's that you can post where people will see them. The flier or article should list the following. Time, place,date,entry fee, number of team members allowed, prizes,reason for the Trivia Night, who to contact, information about refreshments, a list of the prizes, and deadline for entries.

Prizes a lot of times can be donated by different individuals and stores. Especially if they know it is for a charitable cause. Try not to spend money. Remember that you are trying to make money not spend it. If you have to furnish refreshments, see if a store will donate first. You can always use some of the entry money for the prizes. You can have door prizes or just prizes for the winning teams.
