Scrapbooking is a craft that everyone can fall in love with. It is really fun to decorate and display all of your great memories. But scrap booking can get very expensive and that is why I am here to tell
you that you have so many things that you can enhance your books with already at home. Dig around your home for things that you would normally throw away, you may be able to use some of it for embellishing your scrapbook pages. In fact, here a just a few items that you can find in your kitchen to help with your scrapbook pages.

Using spare key rings to attach tags to a page is a nice embellishment. Tags are a great way to label your pages or do some journaling to tell about your pictures.

Wallpaper remnants make good borders to photos to add some color. You can also cut out images from the wallpaper to make some die cuts.
Decorative napkins also make great borders to photos to also add color and contrast to your pages. I always have a few leftover napkins from a party.
Aluminum foil is great to add sparkle to your page. You can crinkle it up or flatten it out for different effects.

Popsicle sticks work well for a lot of things, You can write on them and use them for page headers, or color them and line them up for a fence.
String is also a useful item for any scrapbook page. Attach it to tags, or cut little pieces to create hair.

Recipe cards are a must. I think this is the item out of the kitchen I use the most. You can use color ones for backgrounds or use plain white recipe cards to write a lot of journaling.

Other ideas to add in your scrapbook are birthday candles, bottle caps, bread-bag tabs, cupcake papers, herbs, toothpicks, and paper towels.

You can find a lot of items in the kitchen that you already have to embellish all of your scrapbook pages. Look around your kitchen and I am sure you will find a lot more that you can incorporate into your pages to save you a lot of money. Remember, you do not have to spend a lot of money on your book to make it look like a million dollars. You will be proud of the work that you have done and will show it off. It will look really impressive and you will have saved a bunch! Using trash to create treasure will make everyone smile!
