Most writers will often try to make as much money as possible. I had often heard of writers writing articles for free. I didn't know what this was suppose to accomplish but I was interested in finding out.

I did my research on authors who submitted articles for free and what I found was that most of them where making more money then what I was. I didn't understand the entire concept of submitting articles for free when you could submit them for a profit.

I found out how they did it and why they had decided to submit articles for free. It is all a game to get ahead with their writing. I started submitting free articles into my blog just for fun and to see if it would land me anywhere. I had more comments on it then what I do on Associated Content. The people that where leaving me comments where asking me if I had other articles that they could read because they enjoyed reading my work. I sent the right over to Associated Content and Helium, which is where I submit my article for money. I have also been known to submit articles to Associated Content for free, since they started their performance bonus.

A site that has a performance bonus will help you to gain money by submitting article, this works by people viewing your articles. Each time a person views your articles and your page views goes up, you get paid more money with the performance bonus.

I make the most out of blogs by writing free articles that are a spin off from one of my articles that I have written on Associated Content. I always add a link back to my original article so that people can read further about the topic. This is a great way to build your page views and to earn a bigger audience.

I have also seen writers submit their articles for free on other writing sites. The reason that they do this is so that their name gets seen more and they will become more known to people looking to purchase articles or to people who are wanting to read further articles that they have written.

Free articles get you placed in more prominent places. For example, I would never put my AC writing on a resume. But I would put the articles I've published in the state and regional medical journals.

lol. Now that gave me some good laughs. I get picked about my grammar sometimes. I even use word to keep things in check. Sometimes they do slip up or the get written a little bit different than what they should. I have trouble seeing the words (I'm not blind, I just have trouble) and my sister would always proof-read these for me but she up and moved to New Zealand.

Bonnie, SHUT UP! Just becuase someone doens't want to go through the work to proofread doesn't mean you can rant about it, instead of giving some REAL FEEDBACK! Go back into your hole!

I would suggest proofreading articles, whether free or for profit. I found "where" used in this article when it should have been "were" and some grammatical errors that made it not flow as smooth.
