The monsoons that swept India every year had positive and negative effects on their culture. These rains helped with the crops but also killed many people. These rains hurt many Indian people by causing d
isease. The monsoons destroyed everything some years and in other years the monsoons had positive effects by causing a surplus of crops.

The monsoons were negative because of all the death they dealt. The monsoons delivered many hurtful blows to the Indian people. The monsoons destroyed houses and businesses. The monsoons caused the water to become polluted which caused disease killing many more people. The monsoons were so powerful at times they destroyed the crops leaving no food for the people and the farmers with nothing to do for work. Without work there was no way for them to make money, leaving them all poor and homeless.

During other years though the monsoons were extremely positive, leaving little to no damage. During these years the monsoons were calm they rained a lot but not too much that the damage was minimal and the crops abundant. When the monsoons were calm the crops began to surplus. When crops surplus farmers can sell there extra and make more money. When people have more money they tend to spend more money and if people spend more money the economy will start to boom.

In my opinion I think the Indian monsoons are negative. If the monsoons are violent you have so much to lose. After a bad monsoon is over your house and farm may be ruined or even gone and it is hard to start a new farm without any capital. Also if your farm is ruined what can you eat especially if you have no money to buy food. All your money will be needed to rebuild after a terrible monsoon and you can go from having money to being poor again. The location of this society is terrible this society should move themselves out of the area of the monsoons. If they move they can still get the fresh water they need from the mountains and not be affected by the terrible monsoons that last year alone took about 910 lives.
