The great thing about Disney movies is that we have all grown up with them, no matter how old you may be.
It is hard not too fall in love with the characters and the music in these timeless and magical animated films. Here is a list of what I feel are the top 5 Disney animated movies of all time. If you have yet to see any of the following movies, put it on your to do list pronto!

#5 Aladdin
Aladdin is a child of the streets when he meets Princess Jasmine. Soon he finds himself caught up in an evil plot by Jafar. He finds a genie in a lamp, and is granted 3 wishes. He uses one of his wishes to become a prince so he will be able to marry Princess Jasmine, but the evil Jafar has other plans in mind. Aladdin is a Disney masterpiece which was released in 1992. It grossed almost 502 million worldwide, and won two Oscars, 3 Golden Globes, and 2 Grammies.

#4 Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo is the story of a clown fish father and his son, who are alone in the world after the rest of the family is stolen from their home. On the first day of school Nemo is snagged by a scuba diver and becomes a pet in a dentist's fish tank. Nemo's father sets out across the ocean to track him down. He meets Dory a forgetful tang fish. The story tells of their travels, and Nemo and his captive buddies attempts at escape from their fish tank. This movie grossed over 865 million worldwide, and 339 million in the US. It also won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. I don't know anyone who doesn't love this movie!

#3 Beauty and the Beast
In this Disney classic, Belle offers to go live with the prince who has been cursed to remain an ugly beast unless he can find true love by his 21st birthday. In the beginning Belle views him as nothing more than a monster, and he views her as difficult and stubborn. But the two soon taste the bitter-sweetness of "finding you can change and learning you were wrong." Beauty and the Beast was a huge success and a favorite to many. It grossed over 378 million worldwide, and over 145 million in the US. The film won two Oscars and was the first full length animated feature to win the Golden Globe for Best Picture (Musical or Comedy)

Good picks, thought I am really attached to the older classics liek Fantasia, Alice In Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. Disney seems to have such a special place in everyone's hearts!

Don't listen to them Christine. The "classics" are overrated. Booo Snow White! Booo Cinderella! Booo Sleeping Beauty!

The Little Mermaid? You are kidding...right? You forgot such classics as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, or even Dumbo? Well, I guess these are your own personal choices indeed.

Interesting choices, but what about all of the classic Disney movies? These were all modern ones.

Beauty and the Beast had a lot of very ugly undertones. I watched it as an adult and was very alarmed at how the animation softened a lot of extremely unpleasant dynamics of the story.
