Review: Samsung WEP200 Bluetooth Headset

I have had my Samsung A900 mobile phone for quite sometime, and always put off getting any sort of Bluetooth device simply because I could never find one that I really liked very much. All of the 'universal' ones, such as the Motorola and the Jabra, seemed too bulky and Borg-ish. Finally the boys over at Samsung released their own set of headsets and this time I absolutely fell in love.

At first glance the WEP200 headset is extremely compact, elegant, and beautifully sophisticated. In fact, if you are familiar with the A900 at all, when you see the WEP200 you will think it was made specifically for that phone. Visually, it complements the phone perfectly. If you do not own the A900 but still want this beautiful device, fear not. It is compatible with all Bluetooth 2.0 mobile phones. Also, they have since released it in multiple colors, including silver and (ugh) pink.

The visual beauty was just the beginning. Open up the box, and you will discover a feature-rich device that will no doubt impress you, just as it impressed me.

I will preface the remainder of this article by saying that I have been a long time devotee to all things Samsung. I have been thoroughly impressed with everything that I have owned with their imprint on it. Prior to my love affair with Samsung, I had the same relationship with Sony, but have since jumped ship over to the Samsung camp. So my bias definitely lies with Samsung. However I do not believe that my review would be any different if that was not the case. So, on with the review.
