When I first spoke with my friend JR about bringing back Binghamton Prospect Magazine on the Binghamton University campus, we looked at each other unsure if it would work out. The magazine publication which had once been a prominent liberal political magazine on campus which gave a voice to a large
part of the student body was in disarray after every member of the former executive board had graduate. Every member that is except for my friend JR. My friend had been the previous Editor in Chief but the magazine had failed because the former executive board members were not highly trained and lacked the determination and effort needed to succeed in the real world.

  • look for passionate and reliable people to form your executive board
  • the beginning might be tough but persistence will pay off
