The Classic Virtua Tennis Gameplay is Back, Only Now with Incredible Graphics!

(Note: I will sometimes abbreviate this title as VT3)

First off, I have to say I am a Virtua Tennis veteran. I've played Virtua Tennis 1 & 2 when it was on

the Sega Dreamcast and then played Virtua Tennis 2 on the Sony Playstation 2. I'm a big fan of the series and think it's the best tennis video game for any console. This new iteration of the series only confirms my opinion as it retains the winning game formula found in the older versions and adds a few touches of its own to make it a very addicting game and another super popular multi-player game for anyone who enjoys the sport of tennis, virtua tennis games, or just challenging competitive fun with your friends!

From the menu screen, the career mode, to the mini-games, VT3 has all of these again and the style and design of each are the same as previous Virtua Tennis games. That's not the say these aren't fun! (My personal favorite, the bowling mini-game is still here and I'm very happy to see it back again.) The mini-games are back, and as fun as ever. Each mini-game is designed to improve your one of your custom tennis player stats. For example, there is a mini-game called "avalanche" that has huge sized yellow and red tennis balls coming down at you and your job is to avoid them within a set period of time. Doing this successfully will improve your agility. The bowling mini-game called "Pin crusher" is designed to improve your accuracy, as you try to hit the pins with your serve. It's great fun to see the pins fly all over the place! Great stuff!

Career mode is similar in style as previous Virtua Tennis games, too. You can create your own character then go through various stages to make your player stronger until you reach the championship. It's fun to develop your character this way and is a good complement to the fun mini-games.
