How to Temporarily Fix a Noisy Tailpipe and Avoid a Ticket from the "Noise Police"

When I was living back in upstate New York, in a small town on the Canadian border, I found out rather quickly , the police did not cotton to any loud cars. Meaning, if you had a car with a rusted out tailpipe, and sounded like the bombing at Hiroshima, you better get it fixed, pretty darn quick. Let me tell you, you could not hide anywhere from the police, they would always find you. A ticket, was a mandatory reminder of being Shhhh, QUIET!

Well, just like everyone else in a town that gets lots of snow, ergo there's SALT. My tailpipe was rusted through with enough holes, to give Swiss cheese a run for it's money. I knew I had to do something quick, before the "Noise Police", came and got me. What to do? What To DO? My husband was in the hospital at the time, so I was on my own. I didn't have the money to get it fixed, What else is new? One day I had to go and do some errands, and that's when God sent me the "Tailpipe Angel". The saga continues!

I was out and about, when I ran into one of our friends. He asked me if anything was wrong, and I said "Yes, I'm worried I'm going to get a ticket for my tailpipe being so noisy". He said "Is that All, Let me tell you how to fix it, it's easy" Well, I was astonished, at how easy it was going to be to fix it, and it wouldn't cost me a dime.
