In a promotional stunt by Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" late night line up, the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie entitled "Colon Movie Film For Theatres" was premiered last night. While airing the standard Adult Swim Sunday night line up, Adult Swim showed the film in it's entirety. Pretty great huh? Not really- the oh so devious producers, while they did live up their word, showed the film in a 2 inch square on the bottom left of the screen while continuing their Sunday night line up. Futurama, Family Guy- all the while teasing those of us with no audio of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force film. Nice April Fool's joke on their part.

"The movie Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters is an action-adventure epic that reveals the mysterious origins of Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake. When an immortal piece of exercise equipment threatens the balance of galactic peace, it is up to the Aqua Teen Hunger Force to run away from it. Peril escalates when Plutonians team up with the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past to strive for ultimate control of the sinister, deadly device" according to Wikepedia and Adult Swim.

Created by Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro, the film is said to run 80 minutes and was produced on a budget of $750,000.

The film is also said to contain a plot detail about a "lost aqua Teen". The lost teen is said to be a chicken nugget named "Chicken Bittle" who is voiced by B- Movie legend Bruce Campbell best known for the "Evil Dead" trilogy. Cameos are said to include Rush drummer Neil Peart, H. Jon Benjamin ( fellow Adult Swim show "Home Movies" ) as well as a possible appearance by 80's funk band "Cameo".

The "R" rating is something the filmakers worry may affect sales, but in reamining loyal to the show was necessary.

The film opens on April 13th.
