Summer is coming and that means that we are all going to try to look our best by getting into shape. Being in shape doesn't mean that we need to starve ourselves or eat like birds. Starving yourself could do more harm to your body than what you may realize. When someone starves themselves their body
begins to react in a strange way and begins to store food as fat and may actually keep you from loosing weight and getting into shape. This is caused by your body using your muscles as into energy which can lower your metabolism.
Most doctors recommend you eating five times a day when you are trying to loose weight. The reason behind this is so that your body will always have energy. When you eat these meals, they should be small and in proportion size. If you find yourself hungry between meals, try snacking on fruits and vegetables. Most fruits and vegetables have very few calories and hardly any fat in them. By doing this you will help yourself to keep your energy up so that you can exercise without becoming weak. When your body has more energy, it helps it to burn more calories than when it is weak and has very few calories to work with. You may also find yourself eating less than what you eat when you sit down to eat a meal three times a day even though it may seem like you are eating all the time. When you sit down to eat three times a day, your body gorges on the food because it had to wait that long to receive anything to eat.
Here is a trick that I learned from a personal trainer of the United States Air Force, don't drink beverages that have calories. Instead of drinking pop, drink water and other low or no-calorie drinks. This works because instead of consuming calories that are just wasted you will help to illuminate these calories. While a lot of calories will help to keep your body from loosing energy, these calories are no good for the body and should not be consumed while dieting or exercising. Another thing that some people may not realize is that caffeine is a stimulant but when the caffeine starts to wear off, it can sometimes cause us to become tired and weak. You should try to lessen you caffeine intake as well as any other drinks that are high in calories.
