Been working too hard? Just need to get away? A golf vacation is a great option for everybody from the avid golfer to the casual player. Not only will you be able to playing the game you love to play, but also you'll be doing so with the relaxation of knowing that you're not due back at the office directly after the eighteenth hole or any of the other distractions that come with playing your local course.

If a golf vacation is something you've been contemplating but aren't quite sure how to start, a great place to get things off the ground is your local travel agent. Check out some of the golf vacation packages they have available, go through the brochures and work your way down to a couple of choices.

The great thing about these stay and play golf vacation packages is that you can often receive special rates and perks at both your hotel and the golf course. In addition to that, some hotels have pre-arranged deals with certain limited golf courses that will give you an opportunity to play that you would not otherwise have.

It's important to take into account that some of these packages do call for special arrangements such as limited arrival and departure dates or other limiting factors to what you may or may not be able to do. You can limit any of these possible inconveniences by always reading and understanding the fine print that accompanies the offer.

One of the great things about golf vacation packages is that they are available almost anywhere. This is particularly helpful for family vacations where something for everyone can be found to do. It is quite easy to find vacation package that ties in nicely with activities that include such things as historical sites, museums, fishing and pretty much anything else you or your family might enjoy.
