This first craft idea my sister showed to me. It's called 3-d Easter egg it's a very fun craft to make with a child between 5-10 years of age. What you'll need Cardboard paper in spring like colors, paper punch extra bonus is if it has a spring motifs like flowers or bunnies, find something flat and oval, sewing thread, sewing needle, glitter, glue, markers and scissors. How to make the 3-D egg. First, cut out 3 identical ovals and hold them together with a paper clip. Mark the center line lightly with a pencil. On the center line, punch holes at about 1/4" inch intervals. Before sewing the figures together, punch the holes into the eggs and decorate. Avoid punching into the middle sewing line. Fasten a sewing thread to the top of the oval. Sew down the line using a straight stitch. Continue sewing until you reach the bottom of the shape. Remove the paper clip and gently open the figure until all 6 sides are even. Here is a fun little song to sing with your child while you make this craft. Song: Five little Easter eggs lovely colors wore (Hold up five fingers) Mother ate the blue one, and then there were four. (Bend down one finger) Four little Easter eggs, two and two you see, Daddy ate the red one, then there were three (Bend down one finger) Three little Easter eggs, before I knew, Sister ate the yellow one, then there were two. (Bend down one finger) Two little Easter eggs, oh, what fun! Brother ate the purple one, and then there was one. (Bend down one finger) One little Easter egg, see me run! I ate the last one, and then there were none. (Bend down last finger).
