The Hamilton Beach Extra-Tall Can Opener
Opening Cans with Ease
We also discovered the blades dulled rather rapidly over time. I think we have purchased about 15 can openers over the last 3 years. It was definitely time to make a change. Of course, we head to Wally's World to solve all our houseware problems. The most common model they had in stock were the Hamilton Beach Extra-Tall Can Openers. They were only about twelve dollars, so we figured it was time to give it a try.
I have to admit I am really getting spoiled with all these neat little gadgets. The Hamilton Beach Extra-Tall Can Opener is solid white, which blends in well with the rest of our kitchen. This little device is a godsend. It opens all the cans in the first attempt. It has a magnet to pull the lids right off. The cutting edge comes off easily, so it is a lot easier to clean than the little handhelds. It shuts off automatically, once it completes its task. Finally, this bad boy actually contains a blade sharpener. All of this is included for only around $12, depending where you are shopping.
