Donations are being accepted for the families of 2 Charlotte North Carolina Police Officers recently murdered in the line of duty. According to Wsoctv.com Officers Sean Clark (34) and Jeff Shelton (35) were shot from behind at the Timber Ridge Apartments in Charlotte around 10:30 pm Saturday night.The officers were responding to a disturbance call at the apartments. While trying to subdue one person, they were shot from behind by another person. Demetrius Antonio Montgomery, 25, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder.
Sean Clark had been with the department for a little over a year. He leaves behind a pregnant wife and a 2 year old son. Jeff Shelton a 6 year department veteran leaves behind a wife.
Donations are being accepted at this time for the families of the slain officers.
