Probably the only good digital camera that Kodak makes is the V705 and its predecessors the V610 and V570 which I have owned the V570 and now have bought the V705 because I loved the V570. The V570 camera had a dual lens which includes a fixed 23mm lens and then a 3X optical 39mm to 117mm. The V705 has stuck with the dual lens technology and this time it has a 5X zoom lens and has increased the picture resolution to 7.1 mega-pixels. With some extra added features and now three different colors to choose from (silver, black, or pink) the V705 is by far my choice when it comes to digital cameras. The V705 is almost identical in look and feel to the V570, it still has the automatic sliding lens cover, and the dual lens technology and this time with a 5X zoom. Using the dual lens you can see one error when doing close up photos, there is a slight gap when switching between the two lens, but it's not that big of a deal and wont really have an affect on your pictures.
What I love about the V705 is the number of preset scene modes which includes 22 different options. Some of my most used are red-eye reduction (which is just how it sounds), text (which is great for taking pictures of objects with text on them, when you want it to be able to be read), and snow (great for pictures when you are playing in the snow). I didn't think the presets would make a difference but just as with the V570 all of the settings work great for what they are designed for.
The camera also has video recording capabilities at 640x48- pixels at 30 frames per second. Video quality is great with perfect details and audio is just amazing, it picks up audio flawlessly and has never been distorted or weird. This is the only digital camera I have ever used that I would say could possible double as a video camera. The quality of the video is just amazing and in the V705 they have even added in the ability to cut your video down in size. You also get in camera editing features where you can edit your photos and it places the edited version side by side with the original and you can choose to replace the old one, save the new one with a different name, or delete the new one and just keep the original.
