I can't live without it. La Croix sparkling water is to me what an oasis is to nomads in the desert. It's a calorie free sparkling beverage, available in four flavors, that quenches my thirst like nothing else can. First thing in the morning I chug down half a can and feel the utterly refreshing burn of my special carbonated water. In fact I have to hide a can or two in case "somebody" drinks the last can at night before I can stock up on more. Plain water just doesn't cut it with me anymore unless I'm out of La Croix. It's a mixed blessing that I have gotten my family addicted to it as well.

La Croix is available in four flavors. Pure, Lime, Orange and Berry. The Pure is as you would imagine; clear water with a pleasant fizz. Lime is my favorite with the clean bite of freshly carbonated lime. Orange has just the slightest hint of citrus and bubbles. Berry carries the faint taste of summery satisfaction. I'm not certain but I believe they have discontinued the lovely Lemon flavor. All flavors have zero calories, no artificial ingredients and are not sickly sweet like so many other flavored, carbonated waters.

La Croix is a great way to add water to your diet. We all know we should be drinking more water but let's face it, water's boring. Americans are so over stimulated by the myriad of choices in beverage, food, and other commodities that what has always been essential is now seen as mundane. La Croix can re-introduce you to the simple beauty of water unadorned except for a subtle essence that enhances water rather than overpowering it. Simply drinking two cans a day takes care of approximately one third of your daily water need. Believe me; you'll want more than two cans a day.

I've noticed that some carbonated beverages have a weak "fizziness factor" or quickly lose their bubbles after being opened. The carbonation in La Croix lasts for a fairly long time after the tab is cracked. It's not expensive and is available at many grocery stores in the aisle where still and carbonated water is sold. The cans are small and easily fit into lunch boxes and other portable containers.

Steve...somebody lied to you. I've never heard that in my life. Ever. That's like that old bullšhit line "drinking cold water is harmful to your stomach"
