While most of us agree that people should be judged for their character, most can also agree that that shouldn't give us the excuse to put zero effort into our appearances. These are a few good reasons as to why you should put some thought into your look.

When You Look Good You Feel Good

Most people who don't like putting effort into the way they look feel like they don't want to have to impress other people, especially random strangers. But the truth is you should always dress for yourself because it just makes you feel good. No one has ever gotten a great hair cut or blow-out, and put on a fabulous new outfit, looked in the mirror and felt horrible. Every time you see yourself looking gorgeous it gives your attitude a boost. You want to smile at yourself and at the world and you just feel lighter. Call it shallow, conceit or whatever, but it's reality, and there's nothing wrong with liking yourself and the way you look.

Furthermore, when you wear clothes that you really love and flatter you at the same time the more comfortable and at ease you will be. Looking and feeling great can be a motivation for you to go after the life you want because you will feel that you deserve it. You'll also feel that your goals are attainable with the added confidence booster.

It Impacts Others

The truth is for some reason people just love to see other people looking good. That's why people love watching teens go on prom, or the stars walk down the red carpet at the Oscar's (who really cares about who won for the best score?). The thrill is in seeing beautiful people dressed elegantly and looking glamorous. With so much somberness and blah in the world, and natural beauty covered with concrete jungles, it's great to see people who make an effort to be stylish, especially when a person adds color or their own creativity to their wardrobe.
